I Can't Help Myself
I realized after setting it up I went a little overboard but I can't lie I love Valentine's Day! same same but just add in 3 more little valentines 💗❤️💗 there's something about making the house feel festive that just makes everyone happy. even Tanner who pretends he doesn't care but I see him smiling hahah.
Simple Touches That Make a Big Impact
you don't have to go crazy (even though I did hahah). here are some easy things that make your home feel Valentine's ready:
- Pink and red throw pillows on the couch
- Heart garland from the dollar store (the girls helped me hang it)
- Fresh flowers on the kitchen table
- Heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast (use a cookie cutter)
Making It Special for the Kids
the girls LOVE Valentine's Day almost as much as I do. we do little valentines for each other, make heart-shaped treats, and have a family movie night with all the pink snacks. it doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate — it just has to be intentional.
Date Night In
after the girls go to bed Tanner and I do our own little Valentine's celebration. nothing fancy — just takeout, a movie, and actually sitting on the couch together without someone climbing on us hahah. that's the real luxury when you have three kids :,)
happy Valentine's Day to everyone!! whether you're celebrating with a partner, your kids, your friends, or yourself — you deserve all the love today and every day ❤️
