I love this time of year!! 🎄 there's something about Christmas with little kids that just hits different. seeing the magic through their eyes makes all the decorating and planning worth it. even when Ozzy tries to eat the ornaments hahah.
The Tree Situation
I did this against Tanner's will but idc bc I love it :,) I went with tinsel this year and okay ngl it turned out pretty cute. what do you guys think?? Tanner was worried about the mess but I told him that's future us's problem hahah.
Kid-Friendly Decorating Tips
here's what I've learned — put the breakable ornaments up high and the plastic ones down low. seems obvious but I learned this the hard way with Stella hahah. I also let the girls help decorate which means our tree is very... bottom heavy. but it's perfect because they did it and they're so proud.
Making It Magical Without Going Crazy
I realized after setting it up I went a little overboard but I can't lie I love it. my philosophy is pick a few things that bring you joy and go all in on those. for me it's the tree, matching family pajamas, and our advent calendar. everything else is bonus.
Our Favorite Traditions
we started spending holidays together before we had kids bc none of us could afford to go home hahah. now it's become this beautiful tradition with our closest friends and their kids. the kids play together, we cook together, and it just feels like home. best Christmas present this year was little Cherry. she makes everything better ❤️
