Going All Out This Time
this is the first time I've ever gone all out on a nursery and it's making me so happy! with Stella and Ozzy I kept things pretty simple but with Cherry I just felt like I wanted to create something really special. maybe it's because she's our third and I know how fast it goes :,)
The Color Palette
I went with soft warm tones — think creams, blush, and natural wood. I loooove how the color turned out! I even painted the ceiling which was a whole thing at 37 weeks pregnant hahah. lmk what you think about the ceiling and baseboards!
The Furniture
I've used Pottery Barn Kids for all three girls and I just keep going back because the quality is so good. Cherry's crib is the same one Stella had and it still looks brand new. I love pieces that can grow with them and be passed down.
The Art
the art I picked for her walls makes me so happy. I wanted pieces that felt personal and meaningful, not just generic nursery prints. I found some beautiful watercolors that remind me of the places that are special to our family.
My Favorite Detail
I just keep going in her room because I am so excited for her to be here :,) my favorite detail is probably the little reading nook in the corner. I put a cozy chair and a basket of books and I already know I'm going to spend so many hours in that spot with her. the thought of it makes me want to cry hahah.
if you're designing a nursery right now my biggest advice is to make it a space YOU love being in too. you're going to spend a LOT of time in there and it should feel like a little sanctuary ❤️
